Having A Blast In Disneyland Hong Kong

Alycia and Sherilyn don’t seem to miss daddy, mummy or baby at all, not at all.  They are having a time of their lives in Disneyland Hong Kong. When the hubs and I called them yesterday evening and also this morning, my princess wannabe was regaling us with her adventures in Disneyland non-stop. As for Alycia, she was reluctant to talk to us and when she did, she didn’t talk much but only gave such excuses like “I am hungry, I want to eat dinner, bye bye” and “don’t talk too long, it’s very expensive, bye bye”!! Sei moh, maybe she’s even thinking that we are just 2 boring old folks who are checking on her!  I can now picture myself 15 years down the road calling her when she’s left her nest, studying abroad o_o!

Anyway, when I came back from my 1-night stay at Hilton Sentral and checked my email, I had a pleasant surprise awaiting me. My sil had sent me pix of my 2 princesses enjoying themselves in Disneyland:

Characters clearly displayed – a princess wannabe all dressed up like a princess and a pretty tomboy posing like a tomboy!

Souvenirs From Disney World

Yesterday, we received another box of goodies from koo mah all the way from Hong Kong.  Inside were lots and lots of souvenirs that koo mah and mah mah bought from Japan Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland.  There were :

Fanciful and cute hair clips and accessories.

Cute Minnie Mouse caps.

Bags, pens, pretty shoes from Zara Kids, sports shoes, pretty clothes from Zara Kids and much more.

Thank you koo mah and mah mah for all the lovely gifts!

MIL Is Back

My mil is back from Hong Kong for 1.5 weeks but she will be away for an overseas holiday during the CNY before coming back to KL and will stay on until I have delivered the baby in April.

She brought back 2 huge suit cases and 1 carton box of Disney souvenirs, Disney cookies, chocolates, Manuka honey, famous Macau almond cookies, pineapple cakes, ‘Wife’ biscuits, crackers, herbs, dried stuff,  biscuits from Japan and clothes for the gals.  The gals went crazy seeing all those goodies!!

Goodies from Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand all scattered on the floor of our living room.  Now, I don’t even have to buy cookies, chocolates, candies and biscuits for CNY.  There is more than enough to last us till next year!

Fanciful Disney Biscuits

This is the box of fanciful Disney biscuits that sil gave the gals for X’mas – biscuits with prints of Mickey and Minnie Mouse on them.  I thought they wouldn’t taste good as Japanese love to create fanciful food with attractive packaging that don’t taste good but I was wrong.  I am now hooked to these strawberry flavored biscuits!  They are really yummy and crunchy!

Souvenirs From Disneyland

There are some of the souvenirs from Disneyland that my sil got Alycia and Sherilyn during her latest visit here :

Disney Princess stickers

Disney Princess plastic table cloth

The gals have a cupboard load of souvenirs and goodies from Disneyland that my sils and mil had bought them over the years. Most of them are only suitable for ages 4 and up. I have to hide these items, else the gals will stick these expensive stickers everywhere in the house.

Early Gifts From Santarina

My eldest sil from Hong Kong is here again. As expected, she brought everyone goodies. For the gals, she never fails to bring them lots of souvenirs from HK Disneyland. This time, she got them a girl’s vanity bag filled with hair doodles, hair scrunchies, hair brush, mirror and cute clips, among others.  Alycia also got what she wanted – a pair of hipster jeans from Zara kids that’s just so hip and cool – 3/4 and with a slit on both sides.  My mil also got the gals some very pretty socks and panties with cute Disney and Forever Friends cartoon prints on them.

As for me, I got a big box of dried birds’ nest!  Shall snap pix of these things and post them in my blog when I’m free.

Souvenirs and Goodies From Hong Kong

Magnetic photo frames from Disney Land HK

Minnie Mouse water tumbler from Disney Land HK

Organic yoghurt bars, crackers, biscuits and chocolates

These are some of the Disney souvenirs and organic goodies that sil#1 bought from Hong Kong for the gals. There were also bars of Whittaker’s Almond Gold chocolate which is my favorite – a chocolate filled with generous chunks of roasted almonds. There goes my diet plan – flying off the window with sooooo much good food, chocolates, mooncakes, dinner in restaurants and of course durians!

Magic Disney Towel

What do you think this is? Does it look like a cookie or a notepad? No, this is a magic Disney cotton towel which SIL bought from Hong Kong. When I saw it the first time, I’d thought it was a cookie or notepad.

To ‘open up’ the towel, the towel is to be soaked in water for a few seconds.

When it’s fully soaked in water, the towel opens up easily, like the petals of a flower blooming.

The person who came up with this idea is really ingenious and creative. What a cool souvenier this is.
