I finally bought myself a pair of support stockings from the pharmacy to relief the bulging varicose veins on my legs. The pair of stockings cost me RM89, freaking expensive! Though I had bought the stockings for 3 days already, I had only worn it once for half a day yesterday. It’s really troublesome to have to wear the ultra tight stockings. Not only do I feel hot and uncomfortable wearing it, I have to be careful not to wet it when I go to the bathroom or bathe the kids. I even have to hand wash the stockings myself coz I don’t trust my new maid with it as the pair of stockings are made of delicate material and tears easily. Hopefully the varicose veins will subside soon but I will need to wear the stockings diligently everyday to see some results.
That’s how ugly my once sexy legs are now. Old wives tale has it that if you’re expecting a girl, the baby girl will steal all your beauty away!
The veins on my left leg have now spread to my foot and ankle. I now look like a diseased person. Maybe I should really consider doing treatment for the varicose and spider veins. I’ve just written a review on this and I am really tempted to do it after delivering my baby.
I am really hoping that these varicose and spider veins will subside after I have delivered my baby.
Though this pregnancy is the easiest of my three pregnancies, nevertheless I still have some minor pregnancy problems. One of the problems is varicose and spider veins on both my legs. My mum has very bad varicose and spider veins on both her legs too and I found out from veintec.com that this problem is hereditary. At veintec.com, I also found out that there is Treatment for varicose and spider veins but I still have not decided if I should go for the treatment as I have a low threshold to pain. I’ll just have to wait until I have delivered my baby and hopefully the unsightly veins will subside. I shall post pictures of the varicose and spider veins on my legs in my next post, so do stay tuned!
That’s my thigh and the unsightly varicose veins that have been expanding as my pregnancy progresses. The veins started to appear when I was pregnant with Sherilyn. It only started to subside, but not completely gone after I had given birth. Now that I’m pregnant again, the veins are starting to expand again like roots to a tree and I can feel pain and heavy pressure at the site of the varicose veins whenever I stand. It’s really ugly and I look like an ah soh with bulging varicose veins. I can forget about wearing mini skirts even after I’ve given birth. I know one of the ways to reduce the symptoms is to lie on my back and raise up my legs. I’ve been doing it for at least 15 minutes everyday but I can’t see any improvement though.
I’ve read from the internet that if the problem gets way too serious, surgery can be opted to remove the veins, but purely for cosmetics reason. It’s not a life threatening condition though. This condition is hereditary as my mum also has it. Anyone has any natural, safe and easy way of reducing the varicose veins to share?
