Soup And Tong Sui Maker
My mum recently bought a Primada Grains Nutrition Expert, which is a ‘tong sui’ maker. The maker is primarily to make tong sui from grains - soy beans, mung beans, red beans, barley, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, white almonds, walnuts, peanuts, brown rice, red rice, black rice and just about any type of grains, nuts and seeds. My mum tried to be adventurous and tried using the maker to make mushroom soup, tomato soup, beet root soup, chicken soup and even went a step further by surfing the internet for soup recipes. The outcome has been amazing. Her soups were really tasty and tasted even better than canned soups and those sold in restaurants.
When we were in Ipoh last week, she made tomato-carrot-potato-big onion soup with chicken stock and basil leaves:
This is fresh shiitake mushroom soup with evaporated milk and basil leaves.

The Primada tong sui and soup maker. It will be a worthy and healthy investment if you love drinking soup and tong sui.

How does the maker make tong sui from the grain? Does it grind it as well? I am curious.

Michelle… yes, the maker grinds the grains, just like how a soy bean milk maker grinds the soy beans. It also boils the tong sui.

Interesting!!! I wish to have one too, save all the hassles! Is it expensive?

Interesting gadget… so what happens to the “cha” - the left over? its on a separate compartment?

Originally, it is supposed to make nutricious paste from 5 different kinds of grains, seeds or nuts like rice, barley, oats, millet, beans, walnut, groundnut, sesame seeds, corn etc. It has 3 main functions - making paste, bean soup(’tong sui’), and soyabean milk. First, it will boil the water, then grind the grains, and finally boil the paste, or soup. It cost RM699 during the promotional sale. Otherwise it costs aroundRM900. In the case of soyabean milk , the filter will separate the ‘cha’.

Mum… can you answer MK Mummy’s and Anggie’s question? Where did you buy the maker?

Didn’t realize u can make “regular” soup with it. I’ve seen is here for abt CAD200 and the guy demo’d making sesame paste in abt 30 mins. Still, a lot of $ unless u can justify using it regularly.

Hey everyone… my mum bought the maker from Ipoh when the company went to Ipoh to promote it. The office is in KL. If you buy online, you will get it at RM799 now and if you go to the office in KL, it costs over a thousand ringgit (don’t know why it’s more expensive this way). I’m helping the company sell the maker too. If you’re interested to buy, you can email me at shireenyong@gmail.com.

This is the 3rd and the best soybean milk maker that I own. It is more expensive but worth buying because the stainless steel cookware and the durable electromagnetic heating hob are separate components and can be used separately for easy operation. The induction cooker can be used for steamboat, boiling and grilling. It has 9 hours pre-set timer function. It takes only 20 mins to cook. Ideal for cooking baby food. I use it every morning to cook nutritous paste before qigong exercise at 7am.!
