Homemade Tomato Chicken Pasta For Lunch Today – 9 Jan 2013

That’s my kids’ lunch today – taken with my handphone, sent from my handphone to my email and from my email uploaded into my blog.

Preparation time + cooking + cleaning up took me exactly 45 minutes.ย  After cooking this, I rushed off to pick up Cass. She is now happily gobbling down this bowl of pasta while I am chilling out typing this post ๐Ÿ™‚

Strips of chicken breast meatย  cooked with 4 large tomatoes, 1 large onion, 1 punnet of fresh mushroom, 3 shakes of tomato sauce, a dash of salt, brown sugar, pepper, mixed herbs and dried oregano herbs. Wholesome and super delish.

I cooked a large portion, so the girls will have this for dinner as well.ย  Alycia the rice pot will probably say she wants to eat the chicken with rice. And I’ll just need to blanch some organic french beans, boil 3 hard boiled eggsย  and make a veggie salad for them.

I cooked extra pasta for deep freezing for another day’s quick lunch.

What did you cook for your kids’ lunch today? Love to see ideas for wholesome and easy to prepare kids meals.

  1. Yummy pasta meal..

For me, I always cuk simple meal for lunch like fried beehoon, noodle soup, meesuah soup.
As for dinner, I will opt for rice + stir fried vege+soup +chicken/fish.

  2. For my kids….soup very important…ABC soup, meesuah soup, herb soup, sayong choy soup….etc…or coti canai then they no need soup.

  3. I did that when the kids were young. Still do that to some extent now…just now made a big pot of teriyaki sauce from scratch and will leave it in the fridge. Can be used on salmon/ chix/ beef/ vegt., even tofu! I still make a big pot of spaghetti sauce and freeze for whenever somebody wants some.

  4. I usually cook a one-pot meal for Ashley as it’s easier to heat up in the office for her lunch and dinner. Sometimes it’s pork bone porridge/fried rice/french beans rice/ mui fan / or anything with pork or chicken or fish. Every Thursday is noodle day and she has pasta or egg noodle ๐Ÿ™‚
