Little Joys, Big Comforts

Alycia came back from her Busan holiday two days ago, and this time she came home bearing thoughtful gifts for everyone. She knows me too well — she bought me a 3CE lip gloss, and I absolutely love it! 💄 Last year, she gifted me a Dior lip gloss, which I adored too. My girls know that I’m a complete sucker for lip gloss — it’s my little indulgence and instant mood-lifter.

Alycia also brought home lots of Korean face masks and pimple patches, generously sharing them with her sisters. And of course, no trip to Korea would be complete without the must-have seaweed snacks and Korean tidbits that always fill our kitchen after her holidays.

A day after she returned from Busan, she started her first corporate job. Today is her first day of work, and I hope that it went well for her.

Sherilyn, on the other hand, has been neck-deep in yet another architecture assignment. She’s now in her second year of her Architecture degree, and though her schedule is crazy busy, she still finds time for her dance gigs and performances — her way of keeping the creative spark alive.

It’s Week 2 of the SPM exam for Cass. She sat for her English Oral test on Monday and will be sitting for her Science practical next Monday. I can see her slowly adjusting to the exam rhythm, balancing stress and determination like a champ.

As for my soul cat Haru, she’s had her own kind of entertainment lately — watching workers hang outside our windows to clean the windows and repaint the condo walls. She can sit for hours just observing them! And of course, nothing makes her happier than snacking on her favorite roast chicken breast and cha siu.

And me? I’ve been quietly working on a special project that I’ll reveal at the end of the year. It’s something very close to my heart. In the meantime, I’ve been talking to my mum every day, finding comfort and strength in her voice. She’s truly my greatest confidante, comforter, and best friend. I pray that God blesses her and my dad with many more healthy years — so they can continue to be my pillar of comfort whenever I need them most. ❤️

Deeply immersed in her assignment. She has a strange way of focusing in her assignments – by listening to talk show hosts. She even listens to topics like Trump and Democrats.

Free entertainment for Haru for the past month.
