Back To Her Old Self

I’m so relieved that Cass is back to her usual self now. She’s no longer giving me the cold shoulder.  Last month on the first day of school after the third term school break, she woke up and morphed into a girl I barely recognized ~ stroppy, surly and extremely moody. And this went on for about 3 hellish weeks!!  Thank God the black cloud that hung over her head had drifted away.  But now we have another type of black cloud hanging above us ~ hot and humid weather and choking polluted air.  🌪 This morning, I had to wear a suffocating face mask when I went outdoor for my morning exercise. 😷  I dared not exert myself too much, lest I breathe in toxic air and embed it in my lungs.  Thus, I had to skip the strength training and did the lower abdomen exercises at home.

With a cheery and loquacious 11-year old who keeps regaling me with the happenings in her school, I couldn’t be happier. I miss this chatter box who waffles non stop. She even started to write out coupons for me again! Each time I cook something nice for her, she’ll give me a coupon and after I’ve collected 10 coupons, I can redeem a free 30-minute massage and a keto pancake, which she says she’ll cook for me after her final exam 😍

Yeah, final exam is here again!! We can’t wait for it to be over.

Last week, the brat lost another baby tooth.  The ‘tooth fairy’ wrote her a note and inserted it  into an ang pow packet with a Ringgit note and tucked it under her pillow 😊
