Dancing Her Way to Gold – Sherilyn’s Big Win at KLPAC

Last night, Sherilyn came home with a gold medal—her team clinched First Place in the Contemporary Dance category at the Malaysia Challenge Cup Dance Competition 2025, held at the iconic Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC).

This win didn’t come easy. It’s the result of months of sweat, sacrifice, and sleepless nights. Sherilyn has been stretched thin, juggling back-to-back university assignments, responsibilities in both the university’s dance club and barista club, and her Saturday part-time job at the café. She hardly has time to rest, let alone join us for family meals these days.

Despite her hectic schedule, it’s clear where her heart truly lies — in dance. Next month, she and her team will be heading to Singapore for another dance competition finals.

Sometimes, I wonder if she’ll end up as a dance instructor instead of an architect, even after earning her degree. But whatever path she chooses, I pray that God will guide her towards one that brings her both joy and a stable, comfortable future.

Keep dancing, Sherilyn — you’re already a shining star. ?
