FollowEver since I moved back to Ipoh, the WiFi in my upstairs room has been driving me crazy. The connection kept breaking up throughout the day — lagging during work, disconnecting randomly, and making even simple tasks frustrating. After some research, I realized the issue wasn’t my internet plan, but the coverage. A normal router just couldn’t reach the second floor properly. That’s when I decided to try a mesh router.
I went to PC Depot Ipoh and got a mesh router set (a set consists of 2 units for RM400), and honestly, it was worth every ringgit. The setup was surprisingly easy — just connect the main mesh node to the modem downstairs and plug the second unit (satellite node) into a wall socket upstairs. That’s it.
What made it even better was the service. The staff helped me set everything up on the spot, created my WiFi name and password for me, and even tested it using my laptop (which I brought along). Everything was done for me, super hassle-free. They also explained the after-sales support in case I needed help later.
The result? Fast, stable internet upstairs with zero dropouts. No more reconnecting every few minutes. Working from my room is finally smooth and stress-free.
