FollowThis year there will be another newly minted adult in our house – Cass will turn 18 in April. And then there’s Sherilyn who will turn 21 on the Eve of CNY. All my 3 daughters are now adults and can legally get married and sign contracts! But they’re all highly ambitious girls and marriage is not something on the cards for them…yet. The girls’ dad will likely bring them to Ipoh to celebrate CNY. For years, Sherilyn’s birthday fell during CNY and she got to celebrate it with her grandparents, cousins, aunty, and uncles in Ipoh. She was born on the 8th day of CNY. This makes her birthday feel extra special as she gets to celebrate it with all her loved ones. What should I get her this year? Should I get her a moissanite jewelry or give her a red packet with cash?
For Cass, I know cash is her favorite gift as she’s always trying to save money for her costly figure skating fees and accessories. There are some pretty iced out pendants that are really pretty but I’m not sure if she would wear them. Of course pure gold is the perfect gift for anyone (including me) but the prices of gold have gone sky high over the past week. Gold is the gold standard for luxurious gift for someone dear to you. For now, I will stick to something that’s affordable like a moissanite chain, pendant or bracelet or better yet, cash to gift my daughters for their birthdays.
