The only time we get to eat deep fried arrow root chips is during Chinese New Year. Many shops and stalls were already selling these chips one month before CNY. I l bought a bottle for RM16 last week and almost finished the entire bottle by myself, with a little help from Alycia and Sherilyn who equally love these chips.
I’m a 50+ mum of three grown daughters, now back in my beautiful hometown of Ipoh and slowly rebuilding a quieter, gentler life. After years between Ipoh and KL, I’ve returned to my roots to spend time with my parents in their 80s, my soul-healing cat, and the simple things that matter most. I blog and vlog about family life, home cooking, Ipoh food finds, and everyday moments that make this season of life meaningful.
I do product reviews and accept sponsored posts on my blogs.
I hope you'll enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy sharing my day-to-day adventures and mostly boring ranting :P
Thanks for being here. 💛

i still haven’t bought any this year. They are getting more and more expensive.
arrowroots are actually very cheap…can get it at rm 2.00 or less per kilo at hypermarket…they sell it so expensive becoz of the work in peeling and frying it…my maid fried it too brown recently and i’m going to buy another few kilos for her to fried….

My mom-in-law managed to get some for RM8 – RM8.50 each. Not bad huh!
Hard to imagine these stuff is actually more expensive than important potato chips – Lays, Kettle Chips etc.
Opps … imported potato chips, I mean.
