Reunion Season, A House Full of Joy

With my younger brother back from KL and my eldest brother returning from Singapore, almost everyone is home for Chinese New Year. The last few days have been spent over long restaurant meals, laughter flowing as easily as the conversations.

My brother’s 9-year-old twins (a boy and a girl) have made the house even livelier. Their laughter echoes through the rooms, bringing back memories of when my own girls were younger. It’s noisy, a little chaotic — but it’s the kind of chaos that feels like home.

In just a day and a half, my three girls will be back.
I can already picture Haru’s excitement when she sees her sisters again.

This time, all four of my girls will camp in my room.
Something we’ve never done before.

And somehow, that thought makes everything feel complete.
