Yesterday was Alycia’s first day of school this year. Though this is her 2nd year in pre-school, she had only attended less than 4 months of classes last year. During the first month of pre-school, she kept falling ill (twice a month) and I pulled her out from pre-school in the second month. She only resumed pre-school in September 2007.
Everything went well yesterday – she looked forward to school and did not cry. The teachers also gave her stickers to give her a little motivation. Homework has increased this year and everyday, she brings home a bag full of books for homework.  Luckily my mum is here to coach her with her homework. My mum who is a retired school teacher commented that the syllabus for 5 year olds is a tad heavy and tough, which I totally agree.   When my mum goes back to Ipoh, I will have to take over her role as the tutor.

Glad to hear everything went smoothly for Aly on her 1st day of schl. XY too was always sick when she started kindy last yr. The 1st few mths was really difficult coz when she was sick, didi was oso prone to fall sick. Luckily her immune sys is much stronger now.

She is study in 3Q MRC, right? I recognise the uniform though I have my 3Q MRC in ipoh 2 yrs ago, but then I sold to others as I dont have time to manage…KL very famous of 3Q MRC, right? Every garden also got their kindergarten. now i only manage my centre, also from MRC….I will also sell it to other n be SAHM soon…
she looks great in uniform. my kids kindy no uniform. and, how come she need to bring back so much of homework? my kids only did it in school, not bring home at all.
i agreed that the syllabus is very tough and hard compare to my time.
I look forward to sending Dillon to kindy also next year, have to do some research on the available kindy in my area though…

ya kids these days have so much load fr school. mine wasn’t coping very well at first btu soon they catch up once the fundamentals are there. now i let my younger one go for enrichment more instead of a half day school. i think it helps her better.
