Penang Here We Come

We were back in Ipoh yesterday.  In a few hours’ time, we will travel to Penang.  A holiday in Penang for us (twice yearly) is set for us for the next 10 years until Baby turns 12 years old.  She needs to do an ultrasound scan of her kidney twice yearly until she turns 12.  That’s when the kidney matures and stops growing, I was told.    Not sure if I will enjoy my trip this time as Sherilyn is slightly feverish due to a slight strep throat and runny nose.   As with previous other scans, I am still nervous and anxious over the scan result.  Though Baby has no more kidney reflux now and I have been told by the surgeon that the right kidney will always look slightly dilated, I am still worried.    Wish us luck!

  1. Ask the doc if it is imperative for 2 U/S per year in Pg as it is a financial drain for the family. Like I mentioned before, we saw the doc maybe for 6 mths, and since my dtr has been well, praise the lord, no F/U. Ask if the U/S can be done in KL and the scan or results transmitted to him. IMHO, seems like a $ grab on the doc’s part, taking advantage of caring parents such as yourselves.
